Thank Frock It’s Friday! (The Best Of 2010 Edition!) ♥

NewYears Colour Lights 2010
It is!

And seeing as though it’s ALSO the final day of 2010, I thought that (like last year!we could take a little stroll down memory lane, and remember its grandest moments! (Oddly enough, that time where I whacked my foot into the couch so vigorously that I thought I’d broken it and that occasion where I woke up in a taxi with the driver screaming at me DIDN’T make it on to the list!)

It has been an enormous, challenging, magnificent year. No, it hasn’t been all sunshine, lollipops and goofy living room dances to The Hustle (sometimes there’s been chaotic rain storms, asparagus and plain old sitting!), but it’s certainly been an interesting – and for the most part, SUPERB – twelve months!

In 2010, I:

Flew to New Zealand in April to spend some quality time with my mother and sister! And what else can I say other than I love those two more than all of the most delectable pizzas thrown together in the world?! I do!

My auntie Ngaire and her partner Nikki – who are equally excellent! – and my mother. (Can you believe that woman is in her mid forties?! She looks incredible!)

Laughed until my stomach ached on many, MANY silly nights out with two of my closest friends, Carmen and Priyanka!

Found myself appreciating Sydney more and MORE. I love this city!

Attended The Maxted Thomas Blogger Event and met a stack of truly wonderful bloggers, including the lovely JadeCheri and Anita(The latter of who, upon introducing myself, actually responded “I know, I read your blog all the time! It’s amazing!” What?! I couldn’t BELIEVE it! Even Anita will tell you!I was also lucky enough to meet the sweet ScribblesNZ while I was in New Zealand, who was similarly delightful! :

Launched Frock & Roll’s copywriting services, nabbed a slew of exceptional projects (and clients!), and travelled to Europe for a month shortly after, visiting London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich, Dresden, Prague, Venice, Rome, Florence, Innsbruck, Lucerne and Paris! (On my “hello, I love you, yes, you’ve already told me your name but my goodness, will you let me return to you tomorrow?!” list? London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Paris, which I’ll have ETERNAL love for!)

Enjoyed approximately a billion trips to Ikea (which is not unlike a glorious theme park for adults!) and furnished my apartment!

And guffawed like a fool and beamed at each and every single comment, statistic and e-mail sent to (except for those darn “ignite your fleshy thing!” -type viagra e-mails)/left on Frock & Roll.

Seriously, thank-you IMMENSELY for reading, linking to or even staying on here long enough to think “what is this garbage?!”  this year. To say that it (and YOU!) means the world to me is an understatement of tremendous proportions. I’ve mentioned it before and heck, I’ll probably exclaim it another 1,77266266553535535 times until it happens, but one day I sincerely hope that I can take all of you out for a slice of pizza and a glass of red wine or a fantastic hot chocolate!

My goals for 2010 were to write, travel and have as much fun as humanly possible, and I feel like I’ve mostly achieved them! But what’s in store for 2011?

MORE writing! (I’ve just accepted two freelance writing gigs with Style Retail and entertainment website This Or That, #$@!*&, can you believe it?!), MORE travelling (it’s extremely likely that I’ll be heading to New Zealand in March and in December I’m journeying to New York City!), and of course, having as much fun as humanly possible is always a priority goal!

Happy, happy new year to you – in spite of yesterday’s post, I’m not really a “New Year’s Eve! New Year’s Eve!”  kind of person – sure, it might be a whopping big cliche`, but you can celebrate ANY day of the year – why wait until one particular date to go all out and party?!

Here’s to many more adventures and a phenomenal year ahead – see you in 2011!
